This is me


My name is Shannon Ryan and I am a recently graduated Pâtissier from The Netherlands. After finishing my apprenticeship at Hotel Okura Amsterdam I wanted to go abroad to experience pâtisserie and catering in a different country. I therefore move to Interlaken, Switzerland to work at The Victoria Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa. Here I work in the pastry team as a Commis chef to provide all the pâtisserie that is served in the hotel.
On this website I upload my pictures of pastries that I have made (some with my team) to show as a portfolio.

Creativity

Due to my results and products I made during the lessons my teacher recommended me to take extra lessons to improve my talent even more. Here Iearned to bring the quality of my products up to a higher level and bring my creativity to the workplace.
Furthermore while selling cakes an pastries from home and working in different establishments I got a lot of positive feedback from colleagues and customers about my work.

Ambitious

I take every chance I can get to expand and improve my talent and experience. I have followed extra lessons on a higher level during my study and I challenged myself many times. Furthermore I did my apprenticeships in different kinds of establishments to see and learn different kinds of pastries and working techniques.
Recently I moved to Switzerland to expand my horizon even more.

Punctual and trustworthy

I always make sure that I am on time for my appointments, orders and work shifts. Furthermore I listen to my superiors and treat my colleagues with respect.
I won't leave my team hanging when they are in need and won't leave until the work is finished.

Respectfull

Through my experience of working in a shop, supermarket, hotel and selling cakes/pastries from home I learned how to respectfully and professionally interact with customers
